Casey Research, of Vermont, has analyzed the costs of the government bailouts of the housing crisis, the credit crisis and others and has concluded that the total is $8.5 trillion, which is more than the cost of all US wars, the Louisiana Purchase, the New Deal, the Marshall Plan and the NASA Space Program combined.

This interesting article from Reuters . Long-term heavy use of marijuana may cause two important brain structures to shrink, Australian researchers said on Monday.

Brain scans showed the hippocampus and amygdala were smaller in men who were heavy marijuana users compared to nonusers, the researchers said. The men had smoked at least five marijuana cigarettes daily for on average 20 years. This makes me wonder is George Bush suffering from this? (more…)

Not a real surprise to anybody who watched these infotainment being branded as objective news. But what surprises me is that ..isn’t this what BBC does? Isn’t BBC owned by the British Foreign Office (. What makes people think that BBC analysts are objective in their framing of news if they are owned by the Foreign Office of Britain).
